- Role: Environmental Development Specialist.
- Reporting to: Senior Environmental Manager.
- Department: Environmental.
- Job Location: Santiago, Chile.
- Travel Required: Eventually.
- Coordinate environmental consulting services and lead the process.
- Review and correct products delivered by consultants.
- To perform cost estimates of the relevant services to be contracted from the project background.
- Supervise costs and payment statements with consultants.
- Lead authority and lobby meetings during or after its RCA.
- Identify risks and make cross-cutting recommendations to projects.
- Review the Global Development Standards (GDS) periodically.
- Follow up with the environmental consultancy the risk flashlights of projects.
- Evaluate strategies of Project's Environmental Assessment with team project, considering environmental impacts, sensitive components and, if applicable, citizen participation and interest groups.
- Follow up on the progress of the project, analyzing its background.
- Communicate with environmental consultants on a regular basis, as well as with your project teams, to be updated on project progress.
- Environmental engineering or similar degree
- 6+ years on similar roles.
- Experience in the renewable energy sector is desirable.
- Intermediate level in spoken and written English is a plus.
- A high standard of commitment with Safety, assuming safety as a priority value in all its task and responsibilities. (Mandatory)
- Recognition of environmental sensitivities and timely communication to stakeholders.
- Proactive on solving solutions, communicational skills, organized.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required for internal communication with management and external parties for liaison with stakeholders, technical advisors, and authorities.
- Must be motivated and able to take initiative to meet H&S and IMS area requirements (integration of ISO standards).
- The ability to work unsupervised is a must, but must be able to integrate into diversified cross-functional teams as needed.
- Flexibility to travel as needed.
