- Be the face of DHLSD for assigned territory, accounts.
- Collaborate/network within other BU’s e.g., CSI, DHLE, DGF, DHL Supply Chain.
- Collaborate with internal functions that support the sales process (Product, Sales Support, Operations, HR, IT, Legal, Finance, etc.), gather required input and coordinate actions.
- Work in close cooperation with operations teams to ensure quality and improve performance.
- Identify, establish, and manage multi-tiered relationships across customer and DHL BUs to ensure a long-term business partnership and achievement of corporate goals.
- Continuously review business potential and identify potential business opportunities.
- Ensure alignment and attainment of short and long-term growth targets within territory.
- Develop strategies to increase sales penetration and profits.
- Leverage resources to identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Manage the development of business acquisition projects ensuring targeted revenue and profitability levels.
- Develop presentations and proposals of customized solutions for various decision-making audiences to close on new business.
- Lead and manage customer presentations and proposals.
- Build executive relationships with target customers.
- Acquire, manage, and develop profitable business from customers within assigned territory.
- Assess customer needs and match them with DHLSD services.
- Ensure common understanding of service expectations and solutions between the customer and SD.
- Maintain accurate and timely details for all opportunities in CRM -Sales Force.
- Accurately and timely report sales activities in Sales Force aligned with strategic assigned territory growth initiatives.
- Submit in a timely manner expenses approved for reimbursement.
- Promote and support best-practice transfer.
- 7+ years proven successful sales experience, preferably in the transportation/logistics industry.
- Required - English and Spanish proficiency written and oral.
- Desired – Portuguese.
- Excellent operational process knowledge with strategic perspective.
- Good all-round communicator with written, oral and presentation skills at all levels.
- Good at establishing working relationships and developing personal contacts.
- Cross-cultural competence.
- Strategic vision and insight of market evolution with strong analytical skills, planning and decision-making competencies.
- Systematic problem-solving approach.
- University Degree in Business Management or other, preferably also a postgraduate Business Degree – or equivalent through experience.
